George Jaurez
Coach Juarez
is currently serving as the Eastmont High School Boys Basketball Head Coach.
Having
attended Whitman College and Central Washington University, he completed the
Teacher
Certification Program; whereupon, he taught and coached at the high school
level for
several
years. Additionally, he completed the Washington State University
Superintendent
Credential
Program and served in various administrative positions during his career in
education.
Coach Juarez
had the opportunity to play basketball collegiately at WWCC and Whitman
College in
Walla Walla, Washington. Having finished his basketball-playing days, he
transitioned
to coaching and has served as a Head Coach for 16 years at various schools
throughout
Eastern Washington.
Coach Juarez
is dedicated and has a strong commitment to the development of the Eastmont
High School
Boys Basketball Program. While he strongly believes that athletes must be
properly
prepared in a variety of skills, he is driven, more importantly, by the
following core
belief,
“Teach young men first, basketball second.”
